IV. Our handling of your data:

1) Usage data

We automatically collect and store information in our server log files that your browser transmits to us. These are:

browser type/version
Operating system used
Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
date and time of server request
pages viewed
host names of the accessing computers

IP addresses are anonymised in real time and not stored.

2) Cookies and tracking

As a matter of principle, we do not use cookies on our website that are not indispensable for the technical operation of the website. In particular, we do not use cookies that refer to third-party providers. We also do not use any other form of tracking (e.g. advertising banners and web bugs).

If a user logs in with an account on this website, we will set up some cookies to store login information and display options. Login cookies expire after two days and display option cookies expire after one year. If “Stay logged in” is selected when logging in, the log-in will be maintained for a fortnight. When you log out of the account, the login cookies are deleted.

When an article is edited or published, an additional cookie is stored in the browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only refers to the article ID of the article that was just edited. This cookie expires after one day.

Articles on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website. 3) Newsletter

To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose.

For an effective registration, we require a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the person holding an e-mail address, we use the double-opt-in procedure. For this purpose, we log the order for the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation email and the receipt of the response requested herewith. No further data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you also give your consent for us to track the opening of the newsletter with a tracking pixel, and to track the links contained in the newsletter with a tracking link via our website (Art. 6, para. 1, lit. a and f DSGVO).

You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for newsletter dispatch at any time. There is a corresponding link in each newsletter. 4) Contact persons for enquiries and offers

The contact details of the contact persons for enquiries and messages can also be stored in our own CiviCRM installation, which is administered at this web address. The following data is stored:

At the request of the persons concerned, the data of individual persons can be deleted at any time.

V. Duration of storage and storage periods

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as stipulated by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

VI. Recipients or categories of recipients

We do not pass on your personal information to third parties unless you expressly allow us to do so. Should we pass on data to service providers within the framework of order data processing, these service providers are bound by the DSGVO, the BDSG, other legal regulations and contractually by our data protection declaration. Such service providers are, for example, Deutsche Post, if we send newsletters or invoices to you, or our bank, if we collect invoice amounts. We limit the transmitted data to the necessary minimum.

As a matter of principle, we do not pass on your data to authorities. Only if we are obliged to do so by law or by court order will we pass on your data to bodies entitled to receive information.
